So between the home site and house pad areas, there are about 6 acres that are cleared, the rest is pretty heavily wooded, with beautiful hardwood trees. We have mostly Oaks, Maples, and Magnolias, but there is one section about three acres or so that has beautiful Cyprus trees in it as well.

The back side of this paradise that we called home is bordered by a 200 + acre tree farm, on one side is a 5 acre place with a home on it and the other side is a 67.17 acre place that we used to own, but we sold last year to a fantastic consolidate who are currently working on building there home way back in there. There in fact is only one neighbor who is "close" and they are on the 5 acre piece, and there is a fence between. Good fences make good neighbors..Lol

If you like to nature watch, or maybe you are a hunter, this place is perfect for either. We have an abundance of wildlife that walk right through the yard on a regular basis. Two of our favorites to watch were the deer and turkey. We could sit on the front porch in the morning and watch the turkey walk by, as many as ten or twelve and then in the evenings, as we were eating dinner, we could look out the rear window in our dining area, and see the deer grazing in the back yard.

Job opportunities in South Florida have encouraged us to leave our paradise in the North, and it is to much of a challenge to contend it from 250 miles away. Sure we could rent it out, and we even have a inherent tenant in mind, but we feel in the long run, we are good off selling it and maybe buying something else later down the road if we determine to ever move back.

"[Diversity management] requires the capability to think and act in safe bet ways, and that is what ensures that it is doable." The Navy must accept the good values and reject those values and behaviors that are undesirable. Many cultures comprise values, ideals or behavior that work against effective, coordinated performance. While most would agree in that understanding the role of culture and other variables is leading in a range of arenas.

However, in practice habitancy often report that they experience "great pain when confronted with the need to discuss these issues and even greater pain when the argument leads to an examination of the group inequities that are linked with membership in safe bet groups." For example, American society typically does not accept cultural values that regard punctuality as unimportant or that condone nepotism; nor does it condone bribery, child labor or a host of other considered values or behaviors. These examples of unacceptable values are inimical to sufficient interpersonal relationships.

As more habitancy are entering the Navy with dissimilar cultural backgrounds, the pressure is on the corporate culture of the Navy to change. "In an attempt to recruit and keep top-tier employees of all races and both genders, Fortune 500 associates have begun to address diversity issues in the workplace." Established company expectations, rites and rituals will have to be altered for the new but dissimilar sailor; and some of the gift cultural systems may need to be discarded. Navy leaders have a special responsibility with regards to diversity. "Not only must you originate yourself to deal with the many diverse situations that occur in the workplace, you also are called upon to be a diversity leader-- to help originate a climate that values diversity, fairness, and inclusion." As the Navy continues its transformation into the 21 century, leaders must reconsider how diversity will affect our strategic planning and policies.

Impact Of Diversity On Strategy Formation

The most leading attribute of any planning team is its diversity. This diversity, however, is not about being politically literal, or sensitive to a broad representation of sailors. The impact of diversity on strategy formation is not just to avoid age or gender discrimination lawsuits. Prosperous strategic planning depends on the team's capability to ask new questions, perceive new insights, and imagine new solutions. It's difficult for a group of individuals who share similar backgrounds, thinking styles, and experiences to think new thoughts. "Strategy innovation is a creative process, with a goal to recognize markets, products, and company models that may not yet exist."

"A lack of genuine diversity may be the biggest obstacle to improved execution within the [Navy]." If wardrooms are full of too many similar people, from similar backgrounds, who have ascended straight through similar routes then our diversity strategy is bound for failure. "The best ways for any society to affirm that it has adequate diversity is to ensure that the top supervision team is comprised of individuals with assorted sets of skills."

Aligning Strategy & originate With Culture

The Navy must originate a new value law that supersedes values that are now inappropriate due to increased diversity. Of policy all Americans should be open to new values and alternative ways to behave. But we need to match these alternative prospects with what we have now and only turn when we are sure the turn will add to the organizational originate - new visions and values should not take us away from clear societal goals. Naval leaders must be in the vanguard of this change. They shape new cultures and redefine what's appropriate within the Navy and for their sailors.
The goal of the Navy's new Diversity initiative is about drawing the best talent from all aspect of American culture.

The Navy's diversity initiative provides a strategic framework that is broken down into four areas; recruiting - who the Navy brings in; training and amelioration - how the Navy instills values; organizational alignment - how the Navy continues the momentum of cultural change; and communications - how the Navy informs the fleet of where we're headed. Admiral Mike Mullen's address during the Total Force Diversity Day made it clear that the point of diversity at every level in the Navy is a "strategic imperative" and reminded the attendees that the Navy is engaged around the globe. His efforts remind us that the Navy's diversity strategy rests on the shoulders of our leaders and will only be as strong as their capacity to strive for Prosperous results.

Leadership Behaviors For Desired Outcomes

Two Scholars on leadership, James Kouzes and Barry Posner, conducted study on follower expectations by surveying thousands of company and government executives. They asked open-ended questions such as "What values do you look for and admire in your leader?" Four characteristics have consistently stood out among the rest: honesty, vision, competence, and inspiration. Leaders need to originate skills in accepting and using dissimilar habitancy and methods to add to the Navy's capacity to survive in a growing and increasingly complicated world. We need to suppress feelings of fear and antagonism and increase the capacity to accept differences. Most importantly, we need to be proactive in seeking leadership training in situations of cultural diversity.

Honesty

"It's clear that if habitancy everywhere are to willingly result person - either it be into battle or into the boardroom, the front office or the front lines - they first want to assure themselves that the person is worthy of their trust." Creating and maintaining a culture conducive of trust is becoming more difficult today. The character of the Navy is changing: becoming more diverse and less harmonious. The habitancy advent into our organizations enter with dissimilar values and customs. These cultural differences in the habitancy development up the Navy pose major problems in developing a culture of trust. Diversity itself makes the task of developing leadership more difficult.

Every sailor must put off falsehood and speak truthfully, "for we are all members of one body." Honesty is achieved straight through Discretion and truthfulness. Discretion keeps our minds and focus on sound judgment, giving serious attentiveness and understanding to what is going on. It will considered pick our words, attitudes, and actions to be right for any given situation, thus avoiding words and actions that could result in adverse consequences. Truthfulness means being level with others and doing what is right. "It's after we have contemplated our own actions, measuring how they align with our values, intentions, and words, that we are most likely to make a contribution of integrity to the world."

Forward-Looking

From an organizational perspective, "leaders need to continually put the foresight and mission (related to the purpose) in front of followers." Sailors must understand the organization's foresight and know their role in preserve of the mission. Sailors expect leaders to have a "sense of direction and concern" for the hereafter of the Navy. The leader's role is to build a team out of dissimilar individuals. We distinguish leaders by the fact that they Supply the foresight around which group consensus can be sought. Leaders can lead only united, compatible colleagues who, in essence, volunteer to accept the leader's values and methods. This is contrary to the prevalent view that a consensus-seeking process can ascertain vision. Coarse visions result from articulation by one person of ideals that the larger group can come to accept. The growing diversity in the Navy challenges the leader's capability to lead "unless he or she can induce increasingly diverse habitancy to accept Coarse values, one foresight and similar perspectives."

Competence

Leadership is more than commanding authority and giving orders, it is habitancy who understand and practice the art of listening and who make building trust a priority. In order to assure a sufficient work environment where sailors take responsibility, Navy leaders must posses and effectively demonstrate competence. Competent leaders have the capability to bring out the best in others. To enlist in another's cause, sailors must believe that the person is competent and able to guide us in the right direction. "We must see the leader as capable and effective."

Inspiration

Inspiration is the psychological highlight that arouses person to take action toward a desired goal. "Inspiring Leadership speaks to our need to have meaning and purpose in our lives." Stimulation of the mind (spiritually and emotionally) to a high level of feeling or action can only be finished straight through inspiration. Commanders can inspire sailors by relying not on their own understanding but rather on something greater than themselves. As the Apostle Paul declared "... We speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."

Commanders inspire commitment by finding inward first, becoming aware of how they feel, and communicating a personal foresight of the hereafter based on personal knowledge of the past and realistic experience in the present. Focusing on the themes of your own consciousness should be what certainly drives leaders. "Leaders who originate their message only on the basis of what others might want invariably play to others and only try to please them." Reactions to leaders will be dissimilar depending on the focus of the communication. If leaders only achieve to others' standards, sailors may be entertained, but if leaders report with authentic passion, sailors will sass with excitement and grasp a new and real possibility from an authentic experience.

Dynamics of Diversity

The success of the Navy's increased efforts in diversity will wish a firm understanding of the dynamics of diversity. Many diversity strategies are Prosperous because they take into list the 'Dynamics' that conduce to the need for diversity supervision programs. The merging of job ratings, problems with co-workers, and technology can conduce to dynamics.

Technology, for example, allows the Navy to operate globally with coalition forces, but the sailors must come to be adept in dealing with cultural differences without non-verbal cues provided by face-to-face communications received by liaison officers. The relevance of diversity supervision initiatives also affects these dynamics. dissimilar corporate or group cultures must co-exist - such as one group with the same functional expertise of a merged job rating seeks dominance of those who are skilled in other fields, resulting in talent mass exodus. The dynamics of diversity has made it increasingly leading for the Navy not only to "minimize cultural errors but also to understand and work with habitancy of assorted backgrounds."

Champions of Diversity

Because of the nature of hierarchy and use of power and authority within the Navy, the process of managing diversity must begin at the top. finding a direct relationship in the middle of diversity and mission readiness, old Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Vern Clark extensive the original Navy's focus of diversity beyond race and gender, and folded in a "Sailor's creativity, culture, ethnicity, religion, skills and talents." As managing diversity moves to the forefront of the Navy's organizational development, processes must be developed that allow the commitments to come to be institutionalized within the organizational structure. Efforts devoted to schooling and awareness must be closely followed by processes that originate systematic change. One recommended model is "champion of diversity model". Under this model, the Navy would recognize the elements of the culture and climate that leads to the amelioration of an educated, committed, and systematically supported group of Navy leaders of the diversity turn process. either it is education, training, or straightforward awareness Navy leaders have to 'champion' diversity.

Measure What Matters

Diversity supervision is about how we make decisions in situations where there are indispensable differences, similarities, and tensions. Roosevelt Thomas, author of building on the Promise of Diversity, identified three indispensable questions that will help any society in the journey towards diversity. First, what is a capability decision? A "quality decision", agreeing to Thomas, is one that helps to achieve three leading goals: mission, vision, and strategy. Second, what constitutes indispensable differences, similarities, and tensions? another way of asking this ask is how do leaders know what blend if diverse? Are we involved about race, gender, ethnicity, geographic origin, religion? How do leaders know what level of diversity is right for their organization? We can't tell just by finding at people. We must first specify which dimensions we reconsider significant. And for every indispensable dimension, the first core ask should be how dissimilar or similar are the members of the mixture? Leaders must know what blend they currently have and recognize which dimensions are important. The third ask Thomas suggested is: Where could we use "strategic diversity management?" Once leaders have identified the potential gaps, they can then begin to recruit to fill them.

The Chief of Naval Personnel stood up the "Fleet Diversity Council" which meets semi-annually to discuss the diversity strategy for our sailors and civilian employees. It provides a forum for unfiltered dialogue about diversity linked initiatives and issues and either or not they are working. The council provides feedback to the Chief of Naval Operations as well as communications to the fleet. Throughout this I've made it clear that diversity is a leadership issue. This is largely due to both the wide collection of diversity that there is in the Navy, and the impact that diversity can have on so many aspects of organizational and personel behavior. However, this does not remove the responsibility from personel sailors nor the requirement for life long learning.

We've Still Got a Lot to Learn

My experience of diversity training has often been that habitancy attend such training with the view that there is little that they can learn about diversity. So there is a challenge to us all to compare what we still have to learn about diversity and to meet that challenge with openness and a willingness to learn. "People will only effectively learn about diversity if they are prepared to take risks in their learning." It is not a comfortable feeling to learn that we have prejudices we need to deal with. It is not easy to find that our own view of the world is just one of many, and those other views are equally valid. We all have a great deal to learn about diversity. Not just a good understanding of the reality of diversity in the Navy, but also the issues that this raises. If our Navy is to be a reflection of our society, then naval leaders must strive to understand the reality of diversity in our society as well.

A New Strategy on Diversity: Aligning Leadership and Organizational Culture

How To evaluate A Website Or business

The word Website appears first in the title of this record because, especially in the
home based company and network marketing industries, you will often be dealing
with an individual Webpage or Website as opposed to a large company. That Website
might be the independent representative page of a representative, or it could be an
independently developed page operated by an entrepreneur.

Even if you are looking at a Webpage that is owned by a company, often you will
have to go no further in the appraisal process to rule out a singular Website or
opportunity. Then, only if the Website passes your tests, do you go on to evaluate
the company and opportunity.

Usa

Please realize, also, that this record does not actually address the issues complicated in
evaluating the chance side of a company, or fully evaluating the company and
opportunity combined. On the Homepage of Abcincome.com appears a 13-point
criteria developed out of two decades of touch with evaluating company
opportunities. The version on the Homepage is only an overview, but a more
complete version of what to look for will appear soon in the form of a new article.

One other point before we actually get started, is that this record is not involved with
aesthetic issues. Granted, there are certain, “generally approved Web invent
practices,” some of which will be talked about here. However, just because a
Website uses a confident type of graphics, or possibly a wild color task (or a boring
one), doesn’t mean that it can’t offer good content or opportunities. There are just
too many factors having to do with personal preference for these to be determined a
major factor for the purpose of this article.

Ok, with that said, here are some of the things that you should be looking for when
evaluating a Website or a company:

1. Is the Main Website directly accessible via a Url (Web address) that reasonably
makes sense?

Some Websites, most notably those that are questionable, will
occasionally set up even their main Url so that it isn’t very intuitive or accessible for
the general public. For instance, usually a Website name might look something like
this:

[http://www.evaluateawebsite.com]

Or [http://www.evaluateawebsite.com/index.htm]

Or [http://www.evaluateawebsite.com/main.asp]

On the other hand, if something isn’t quite right it might look something like this:

[http://www.evaluateawebsite.com/prelaunch/]

Or [http://www.evaluateawebsite.com/comingsoon/]

Or [http://www.evaluateawebsite.com/invitationonly/]

Let me immediately point out that naturally because a Url ends with a name similar to
one of the examples above that doesn’t mean that the Website isn’t legitimate. If,
for instance, you are reading this record directly on the Website of Abcincome.com
instead of in my email newsletter, then it ends with a name that is tacked onto the
main Web address of Abcincome.com. It’s pretty approved convention in the industry to
add transmit slashes and further directories, folders, and/or page names to the
right of the main Url.

However, If you cannot erase those extra characters to the right and directly access
the Website with just the quantum that ends in .com, or .net, or .biz, or .ws, etc., that
may be cause for concern. Many Websites direct visitors to pages that aren’t the
main Homepage. However, if you can’t get to the Website’s main Homepage, again,
that may be cause for suspicion. company Websites are all about marketing a
product or service, so any general Website owner would typically want to make sure
that their Homepage is accessible to any and all visitors.

2. What kind of touch options are provided? Email, touch Form, telephone
number, etc.?

If there are no touch options, unless there is a Very good reason, such as that the
site is undergoing building or maintenance, reconsider it to be a big Red Flag!

If the site offers a way for you to buy something, but there are no touch
options (until after purchase, you hope), then actually reconsider it a Big Red Flag!

In general, the more touch options, the better. I would feel the most comfortable,
for instance, dealing with Website where an email address or touch form, and a
phone number, and a road address are provided. I would feel least comfortable
with a Website where only an email address and nothing else is provided.

Remember also that you can, or should, view Websites owned by individuals slightly
differently than Websites owned by a company. Any legitimate, reputable company,
for instance, should offer at least some touch information, again, the more the
better. However, it is not uncommon for Websites owned and managed by
individuals to feature less touch information. Especially if it is owned by a home
based company person; he or she might not be comfortable publishing their home
street address or phone estimate on the Web, for instance.

In rare cases with confident types of replicating Websites (where many representatives
have the same type of Website) the user may not have the option of providing more
contact details. But, again, that’s rare. These days even most Websites aimed at
individual users allow the user to add and modernize their touch information.

Even a P.O. Box is better than no address at all. Here again, whether dealing with a
giant company or an individual, it is not uncommon for clubs or individuals to
use P.O. Boxes to more efficiently deal with their mail.

True, some unscrupulous operators hide behind P.O. Boxes. However, they are a
much smaller ration in comparison to legitimate users. The main presuppose is
that, especially after 9/11, in order to apply for and use a P.O. Box or address
service the applicant has to provide various kinds of information, along with a real
street address, and proof of identity, etc.

Some Websites provide only an instant chat username as a means of contact. Here
also, usually to be determined a red flag.

Because scam artists know that providing a means of touch considerably increases
the credibility of a Website, one of the cleverest tactics to watch out for is a site that
provides a “Live Chat” or “Live Support” or “Live buyer Service” option, etc., but
it is never actually staffed!

The above tactic is often combined with the further tactic of the site claiming to
be settled in a part of the World that just happens not to be open for company
during regular company hours in busy parts of the World such as the Usa and
Canada.

I saw that tactic employed by a scam Website claiming to be settled in the Uk. It
offered, “Live Support,” but noted that they operated agreeing to Uk time, which,
conveniently, meant that by the time that most population in the Usa and Canada got
out of work and visited their Website, it was too late to make touch due to it being
after hours in the Uk. In reality, the site’s “Live Support” option was never staffed,
but most visitors never caught on due to the cleverness of the scheme.

3. After checking the items above I usually look for an “About Page.”

Here again a
Website run by an individual might not have one. However, the best companies,
whether large or small, will almost all the time have at least one page if not more
devoted to information about the company. Sometimes information about the
company’s supervision is provided as well.

These pages also go by names such as, “Company info.,” “Our Company,” or just,
“Company,” etc.

The About page can often tell you a lot about a company, along with how long they
claim to have been in business. In general, the longer the better!

4. Does the Website feature any certifications, affiliations, or rankings, backed by
reputable and unbiased 3rd party organizations such as The better company Bureau,
Chamber of Commerce, Dun & Bradstreet, Truste, Alexa, Dsa (Direct Selling
Association), etc.?

Though none of the above organizations endorse or certify companies,
membership in and/or certification by a respected 3rd party society can go a
long way toward giving you greater peace of mind that a company or individual is
legitimate and trustworthy.

Something that population don’t generally know about the better company Bureau is
that they can invent a file and keep records on Any company or individual
whether they are a member or not. The inequity is, however, that a company who
is not a member has not agreed to the terms of the better company Bureau, cannot
display their logos, and has no way to actually showcase a good record if they have
one.

However, even if a company is not listed with the Bbb, If they’ve been around for a
while and you can verify that fact, at least the Bbb may have on file any negative
complaints that have been filed.

I must stress, however, this actually applies only if the company that you are doing
business with has been around for a important length of time, and you can verify
it. That’s because a base tactic of scam artists is to start a new company, take
people’s money, and then naturally close their doors, start someone else new company, and
repeat the process all over again. Thus, if they are not a Bbb member, they may very
well have taken advantage of many unsuspecting victims, but naturally haven’t been
around long adequate for complaints to have reached the Bbb yet. That’s why it is a
requirement that when a company or individual applies for membership they must
have been in company for at least 6 months to a year, and, further, the Bbb goes as
far back as 3 years in their files to see if there have been any past complaints before
granting membership.

Unscrupulous clubs that try to evade detection by conclusion their doors and then
opening up again under a new name are often detected in the Bbb’s database. So, if
you know that a company previously operated under a dissimilar name it would be a
good idea to check to see if any complaints were filed against the company under
its previous name(s).

5. Whois and Alexa are tools that you can use in aggregate to further invent a
profile and photo of what a Website is all about.

Alexa ( http://www.alexa.com/ ) allows you to track various data about a Website’s
activity, possibly how long the site has been around, and maybe who owns it.

Alexa can be a great tool, but you have to be very meticulous if you aren’t customary with
what all of the various pieces of information mean. For instance, just because a
Website has a high Alexa rating doesn’t mean it’s credible.

There are adequate population who love money adequate to jump onboard any task or
scam even if it seems too good to be true that unscrupulous Websites have often
been able to accomplish high Alexa ratings. The thing to watch for is most of the traffic
being generated by the population who are jumping onboard the task and
advertising the site, as opposed to the Website climbing up in the rankings on its
own merits.

Again, it may take you a while before you are able to explicate and read the data to
be able to remarked such things. However, one possible clue that “might” be a tip off
is when you see a Website appear out of the blue and all of a sudden it has a high
Alexa rating. Maybe it’s ranked at #77,000, for instance, but it’s only been on the
charts for a few weeks or months. Not always, but, especially if you are utilizing the
other methods discussed here, you may be able to decide that such a brief and
rapid turn in ranking is a red flag for that singular Website.

You also have to realize that Websites and the clubs and individuals behind
them are isolate entities. For instance, Sears Roebuck had obviously already been
around a long, long time before they ever had a Website. And even clubs or
individuals that have a Website sometimes add new ones, etc. So, if a company or
individual says they’ve been around for a while, but their Website hasn’t been
around as long, that isn’t necessarily a red flag as long as you can verify the
information.

As for Whois, there are numerous Whois servers that you can use. Many in fact.
However, three of the best known and most beloved are:

Whois is a special database that lets you find out about a Website by typing in the
domain name (the Website address). Among the things that you may be able to find
out are out how long the Website has been around, who owns it, and where that
company or individual is actually located.

Earlier I mentioned a scam Website that claimed to be in the Uk. Well, using the
same kinds of methods that I’m telling you about here I swiftly found all kinds of
red flags. One of the biggest was that when I ran a Whois query the ensue came
back that the site owners were not actually in the Uk as they claimed to be, but were
actually registered on the offshore island of Belize, a base tactic of, and a Huge
red flag characteristic of scam operations.

Another thing to watch for are private registrations by clubs or individuals who
are obviously advertising as doing company with the public. private registrations are
those where the real identity of the Website’s owner is not revealed. That’s fine if
someone just wants privacy. However, clubs doing company with the group are
by their very nature doing company with the public! Therefore, it actually makes no
sense, in most cases, for person to file a private registration. It can be a red flag
that makes one wonder, who actually owns this Website, and why don’t they show
themselves?

6. Dun & Bradstreet and similar company brain and credit reporting agencies,
most notably Hoovers, are also perfect options if you actually want to find out more
about a company.

D&B) is The industry’s most respected credit reporting and company brain
source for that kind of information.

Unlike most of the other resources mentioned in this article, D&B primarily focuses
on large clubs like the Fortune 500, or larger “small” businesses. So, many, if
not most individuals and small businesses will not be listed. Additionally, these
services require a fee, which can be mountainous in order for you to pull a record on a
company, unless you have a subscription, which also involves a fair estimate of cost.
You can, however, run miniature queries at no cost that may be helpful to you.

7. One last point to reconsider is one that most population never give much idea to
when evaluating a Website or a company, and that is the payment methods they
accept.

Limited payment method acceptance (the inability to accept online payment) may be
a red flag when dealing with all but the smallest clubs or individuals.

The lowest line is that the more payment methods a site is able to offer the greater
the convenience for the customer, which equates to more sales. Therefore, no
established company would want to be without the capability to accept multiple forms
of payment, unless, of course, something is wrong.

This record is already lengthy, and space naturally does not permit going into information
about the dissimilar types of payment processors. However, in general, a Website
that accepts payment via a accumulate merchant shopping cart of its own has probably
passed the most meticulous application, credit check, and background verification

If a company or individual can’t qualify for an account with one of the above

Also, if a Website features StormPay as the only payment option, and not also
PayPal, that too can be a red flag. That’s because StormPay has much less stringent
application and maintenance requirements than PayPal. So, a Website who Had an
account with one of the most respected payment processing company accounts like
those described above, but then got into problem and had their account banned or
terminated, may still be able to get a StormPay account. actually not all StormPay
accounts fall into this category, but, again, if it’s the only payment method
accepted, it may be cause for concern.

Likewise, a Website offering as it’s only means of conducting transactions the e-
gold service, may also be cause for concern and even a red flag. E-gold is an
alternative aid that allows clubs and population to use gold instead of dollars
as a means of conducting transactions. Though e-gold is a legitimate aid that
continues to grow and is approved by many reputable merchants, it is often used by
scam artists for confident reasons.

How To evaluate A Website Or business
